The View From Above | Gallery #5: Photos from the U.S. Bank building in Moorhead

For the fifth installment of “The View from Above,” I made my way to the roof of the U.S. Bank building at 403 Center Avenue in Moorhead (Minnesota). Armed with my little Nikon D60 (18-105 mm Nikkor zoom lens for those interested), I tried to capture some of the views from there. Click on one of the small pictures below to view a larger version of the image. You can also view previous galleries in this series.

If you’re new to the blog, “The View from Above” is a photo project featuring images from (relatively) high points in the Fargo-Moorhead area (and maybe beyond at some point). If you have suggestions for great places in the region to take some photos for this series, email me at smercer@forumcomm.com. Hope you enjoy the pics.

The View From Above – Gallery #4: Photos from the Lashkowitz High Rise building

This collection  of photos was taken from the roof of the Lashkowitz High Rise building on Second Street South in Fargo, near the Red River. In this part of the country, when you get to the top of the 22nd floor of a building, it looks like you can see forever … and it’s a little scary. I hope you enjoy the photos; I certainly had fun making them. Click on any of the small images below to open a larger version of that photo.

(BTW, thanks to the staff at Lashkowitz for allowing me access.)

The View From Above – Gallery #1: The view from The Forum building

It seemed appropriate to begin the “View from Above” right here. These images were taken from the roof of our own Forum building at 101 5th St. N. in Fargo. Photos by J. Shane Mercer, community content manager at The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead.
